Lucy Gripper
Senior Legal Caseworker, Practising Solicitor
Lucy is a solicitor and Senior Legal Caseworker, predominantly providing advice and support for autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have been detained in mental health inpatient units, or are at risk of detention or re-detention. She is currently undertaking a master's degree in Public Law and Human Rights at University College London. Prior to Access, Lucy worked in litigation against detaining authorities. She is a regular volunteer in the social welfare sector, and a keen believer in the power of local communities to organise and prefigure wider system change.
